Seth Bodnar officially took office as the 19th President of the University of Montana on January 2. He comes to Missoula and UM from a career that spans military service after graduating first in his class from West Point, academic work at his alma mater and leadership in private industry. Most recently, he was a senior executive at General Electric Company where he was responsible for long-term strategy and business transformation at GE Transportation.
In his presentation to City Club, Bodnar will provide insights on his brief time thus far in the presidency, the thematic priorities shaping his vision for the University of Montana, and how a UM education prepares students for success in a complex and changing world.
City Club Missoula President Jim Royan is master of ceremonies. City Club’s monthly meetings provide a forum where experts weigh in on different topics important to Missoula before inviting the public to provide feedback and pose questions to the presenters.
Early registration for the forum is encouraged, as attendance is expected to be at capacity. Registration is required by noon Friday, February 9. Due to space limitations, we may not be able to accommodate walk-ins.
